WVIZ/PBS through its educational technology arm called ideastream supports 115 public school districts and 190 private schools including more than 500,000 elementary and high school students. ideastream also broadcasts community college and university credit courses, and presents workshops for teachers, school administrators and caregivers. The educational interactive video network (Northern Ohio Technology Association or NOTA) managed by ideastream connects hundreds of school districts, colleges, museums and specialty content providers.

WVIZ/PBS's Educational Services Department provides services for nearly half a million Northeast Ohio school children and 34,000 educators. We broadly serve our public and one of our key services is providing educational programs and training for those involved in education.

Member schools receive instructional television programming, online services, distance learning, and professional development. WVIZ/PBS is contracted by the eTech Commission as one of Ohio's eight educational technology agencies, which provides Instructional Television and creates educational opportunities for primary and secondary schools through new technology.

WVIZ/PBS provides services and training throughout the school year over 126 school districts in an eleven county area. This training caters to a range of technology abilities from the novice to the scholar and develops themes around many different learning and teaching styles. WVIZ/PBS training can be tailored to a district's individual needs and can be done on-site or in the lab of WVIZ/PBS. We have exceptional trainers who can provide training in technology and its integration into the curriculum. WVIZ/PBS provides the availability of graduate credit for workshops that meet university requirements.
